About Arnie Amber

DJ Arnie Amber has been the host of Oldies Unlimited for 40 years.  Amber and co-host Michael Karwatske turned their love of 50's and 60's music into the longest running oldies show in Fayette County.
Doing some fill in work for the late DJ Brian Lee on WLSM FM, they had the opportunity to go weekly on WPQR FM every Saturday morning from midnight to 6:00 am.  Their unrehearsed banter made them an immediate hit.
Later they began to simulcast on WCUI, 1340 am, Connellsville, Pennsylvania.  This lasted until 1990 when Karwatske retired.  Amber continued until 2000 when WPQR and WCUI went dark.
In April 2000, Amber moved to WMBS, 590 AM, Uniontown, Pennsylvania and introduced a new partner, Amber's son Kevin.  They were the only father-son on air oldies team in America.  This lasted 8 years when Kevin had to retire because of other commitments.  He occasionally will be a guest DJ on the air.
Amber is unique in having guest interviews nearly every week.  The recording artist will talk about their hit records and other celebrities will talk about their time in the industry or promoters about the acts they booked.   This has been a fan favorite
Amber is also a mobile DJ, specializing in car shows, class reunions, parties, and weddings.  Amber can play any type of music but specialized in music of the 50's and 60's.
